I use a stove top espresso maker and a French press, and the grinds for both seem pretty consistent. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and I haven't had any problems with jamming. Static is a very minor nuisance, but it is probably inherent with any device that creates small particles and has a plastic container and electric motor. from Amazon.com After carefully following the instructions for use, cleaning and care, we enjoyed almost two weeks worth of morning coffee before the grinder jammed up, and simply made noise without any grinding. Try as we might, with and without customer service's help, the grinder is unusable. It suffers from the same design flaw as the Cuisnart coffee maker with the burr grinder installed (Which I returned when it broke down -- this was a sorry substitute). Do not buy. from Amazon.com I spent hours on line researching burr coffee grinders.
