We already had a coffee grinder, but it broke after the first couple of uses. So, I did a lot of research and found out about the Hamilton Beach grinder. It has lived up to its good name! from Walmart.com Having owned a Braun which...1) Forced me to hold-down the button, 2) Was much louder, 3) Was not as durable, and 4) Was much more expensive... I will never go back to the hold-it-yourself model. My first auto-set grinder was a GE, but it was louder and (believe it or not) didn't grind coffee as tasty as the Hamilton Beach. YES, a grinder apparently can have a huge impact on flavor. from Target.com I'm sorry the other customers got bad units. Or maybe I just got lucky. from Target.com I've used the Krups coffee grinder for years, which was simple, used in pulse mode, and I had no complaints. Didn't think I'd need an "automatic" grinder. But, what a treat the Hamilton Beach grinder is! It's convenient to hit the button and walk away AND great to get a consistent grind each time, customized to the grind you want. from Walmart.com I wish that there was a way for it to tell you how much coffee beans you need to grind though.
