as far as making a good grind for coffee it is the best we've owned and as good as the big grinders used in the professional places.

you don't need to be an uber-guru-espresso-maker to benefit from this machine, but i imagine it would help.

the bottom line is that this unit is quiet, sturdy and attractive while making a great grind of coffee for our professional bunn coffee maker.

i'm not a coffee drinker, so i actually use this for grinding whole spices and flax seeds.it works very well on spices and flax seeds, so i sould think it would be great for coffee also~

i grind everything from coffee beans to flax seed and it does a wonderful job on each.

just read many of the reviews and i am puzzled.....i have had no problems with messiness, and i grind all sorts of stuff in it...coffee beans, flaxseed, spices.

for a coffee connoisseur i only give it three stars.

for people who think this is messy and loud....go get a barista plastic grinder for $125 or the cuisinart plastic grinder and let us know how many statically charged coffee grinds you have on teh
