might not be the best option for audiophiles, but it doesn't matter to my wife who is busy in the kitchen anyway.
great options - i can't even use all the station presets.
the sound is great, has a variety of cd pay options, and accomodates 20 fm and 10 am station presets.
suggestion - add a remote antenna to the unit as an option..
but i'm glad to have those options because when the radio reception gets bad (which it often does) i have some music to distract me from being utterly annoyed by the product designer.
the duo-i doesn't have separate weekday/weekend alarm settings, nor does it have a playlist option for waking up to your ipod.
i feel that the option of 5, 7, or 10 min.
also, the instructions manual is really inadequate--it makes all kinds of references, for example, to setting the alarm to different options--radio, ipod, tone--but doesn't tell you how to do it and
it has all the needed options...dual alarm times, snooze button, wake to radio or alarm, quick nap alarm setting, and a high/low dimmer for the led's.
there are 2 alarms that can be programmed for different times, and each has the option of being a rather pleasent bleepy noise or the fm/am radio.
cons: if you choose the buzzer wakeup option, it's too loud
while the sound was great and many options were perfect, one major component for me was not in the product description.
was pleased with the amount of options available on this dream machine.
the tv option is pointless, and doesn't work very well for me.
the bottom line: i would recommend this cr as a reasonable option offering pretty good sound, alarm features and controls
and the radio option for the alarm sound doesn't have fade in, like the philips does).
only thing i'd like is the option to set 2 alarms but i think there's a higher model which does that if you're willing to pay more.
i prefer the buzz option for the alarm.
personally, that works better for me as i find the "alarm" option a bit harsh.
the know you need to turn to select between those 2 options is very flimsy and weak; it usually takes me some time to make sure i selected radio instead of buzzer.
there have been no sticky cd doors such as other units have displayed and audio quality is fanstastic for a small unit that is very economically priced.options are great for a stereo located in the
as others have mentioned, it would be nice if there was a scan option for the radio...
it was easy to install, has the cd option, which is great..
the remote is a nice option.
when we contacted sony we were informed that our only option was to mail it to their repair center at our cost and have a refurbished model sent back.
