we wanted a clock with a cd player to play cd's in our baby's bedroom at night, and this one is perfect so far.
it fit nicely on her bedside table leaving plenty of room.
i found the green setting on the lcd to be bright enough to read across a 15' bedroom even on a sunny day.
* the cd tray spinning noise is not only noticeable, it's downright loud -- it's clearly audible from across the room, and defeats the purpose of having a compact cd player at your bedside -- who
the only feature i am not sure about is that one as i am used to setting my bedroom clock 20 minutes fast.
when i shut off the lights for bed, i push the button twice to darken it to a level still easy to see without my glasses but not so bright it illuminates the room.
i'd buy it again for every bedroom in the house.
this little alarm clock fits on my bed stand perfectly and works like a charm.
bought this for second bedroom.
sonic boom makes two 113 decibel alarm clock with a bed shaker (identical looking to this one) but this is not it.
overall this product works well and emits a loud alarm in conjunction with the vibration, which really shakes the bed.
it really shakes the bed.
it doesn't always get him out of bed but he has not slept through it.
it shakes my pillow and gets me up and out of bed even on 1-2 hours of sleep!!!
i was amazed that this product has so many features in this small compact system.i enjoy that i can play all my music at my bed side, also like the light feature where i can brighten and dim the
this pretty much had everything i need for my bedroom in terms of a radio and alarm clock.
why do most alarm clock manufacturers seem to think we want a little glowing gadget in our dark bedroom?
the display is sensitive to the ambient light, but it still doesn't dim enough with the lights out in the bedroom, so its a tad too bright at night if you adjust the display for proper level with the
finally i have found the bedside audio clock i've always wanted!
one is in the bedroom and the other is in the workout room.
i purchased this for my bedroom for use on a shelf with a cd player and an ipod.
it has some great features, the audio quality exceed my fairly high expectations, but it isn't practical as a bedside alarm clock.
i even took it with us on vacation to play in the hotel room so it would seem more like home at bedtime!
i use it to listen to music all day long; perfect for my small apartment bedroom where a bulky boom box just takes up too much space.
i still play his bedtime cd every night and it works great.
each rave about the features and sound quality, however everyone has complained about the viewing on a bed side stand.
for small bedside speakers they sound very good, and so i find it reasonable to use this clock to play bedside music.
the bright light takes a bit to get used to especially if used as a bedroom alarm clock but don't let it discourage you from purchase!
one big complaint, though: the light on the clock is so bright that it has to be covered for sleeping, which defeats the purpose of a bed-side clock radio.
under normal circumstances i simply turn the radio slightly away from the bed and sleep has not been affected.
pros: outstanding sound quality for speaker size, digital tuning, two alarms, quality construction cons: display much too bright for bedside and not adjustable the bottom line: a well-made

i really wanted to be able to look up from bed and see the time.
i bought this item, when it went on sale, to replace the clock radio in our master bedroom.
then if you do want to listen to the radio while you lie in bed and catch a few more z's you can turn it right back on and it will be a decent volume.
you will wake up your bedmate with the friggin beeps.
- excellent controls are easy to use, even in the dark when reaching from the bed.
i had it by my bed for awhile and loved the sound, but after awhile decided it was too bright at night (the blue is dimmable but still pretty bright).
is very nice looking--the speaker grilles are silvery color, and the whole unit is smaller than you'd think--it's about 10.5" long and about 3.5" tall--just right for a dorm room desk or bed shelf.
we bought this alarm clock because i like to listen to music while i am upstairs (just bedrooms) and i don't want to have a separate stereo in already tight quarters.
in 2006, sdi technologies followed up on its original ihome ih5 ipod-compatible clock radio with the ih7br, an enhanced version of the ih5 that carried a more expensive price tag ($150 list) and
bed bath & beyond said ihome fixed the issue in the latest version and would repair our clock radio for a large fee plus we would have to pay the shipping charges.
the outlet next to my bed has never worked, so i put the clock across the room on the dresser.
only thing is clock light is very bright for bedroom.
the sound quality is more than adequate, but don't expect boise speaker quality, just smooth and precise enough to leisurely listen to in your bedroom while getting ready for work; the cd player
nice for reading the display, but it looked crowded on my smallish bedside table.
what good is a clock radio if you tune it to your favorite npr station at bedtime, and by morning when the alarm comes on, it's drifted a few points up or down the dial and you wake up to static???
we use this cd player in our bedroom for our baby boy, it's slim and it works great, even though many complained about the light being too bright, i like it, because it works great as a night light.
i purchased this alarm for my son's bedroom because it didn't take up a lot of space and i basically just needed something to play the cd that he'd fall asleep to.
even with the "dim" button, the display is bright enough to cast hand puppets on the opposing wall of a dark bedroom.
it illuminates the entire bedroom.
i like that it has a detachable speaker so the alarms can sound on both sides of the bed.
