Best Clock Radios with LCD/Mechanical Display

this is a nifty clock but it is useless as a bedside or nighttime clock.

it illuminates the whole bedroom in a blue glow.

i place the clock 7 feet away from the head of the bed on top of a 4-foot drawer stand and i cannot see the digital time of the clock.

i'm thinking of writing my own understandable instructions to keep on the bedside table since this is so counterintuitive as to be nearly unusable.

i would suggest using this clock only in a spare bedroom, office, or kid's room who wants a night-light because you can turn up the display even brighter.
