use in bedroom for main alarm clock, i like the big numbers and big snooze bar.
the base sets nicely on the bed table and doesn't slip around like the old model.
i use it in the bathroom, so that i can listen to our local radio station for news, weather, and traffic in the morning while i'm showering.
it's great as an all-around bathroom or garage radio.it's good to get the local tv stations when you don't have the time to seat and watch the tv.
i have very bad reception in the bedroom, and getting a radio to tune in and stay tuned has been impossible (i've tried about 3 or 4 different clock radios).
tool to block out other distractions - as well as to give me a steady peaceful sound to focus on as i drift off to sleep while my husband's breathing machine hisses on the other side of the bed.
i stayed in a timeshare a few months ago that had a larger bedside sound machine/alarm and loved it.
i like using it as a study tool to block out other distractions - as well as to give me a steady peaceful sound to focus on as i drift off to sleep while my husband's breathing machine hisses on the
pros: easy operation, small footprint, slick lighting. cons: high msrp, no battery back-up. the bottom line: a slick-n-simple bedside clock/radio/alarm; worth the outlet price; compliments
the harsh, alien, led lights will blink on and off, and if you combine that with the godawful alarm tones, you will find yourself leaping out of bed and looking for a weapon of some sort.
this watch i think was designed only for bedroom clock/radio and it looks decent only when the light in the room is off - otherwise, better don't look at it.
but i ended up turning off the nightlight once in bed.
our bedroom is now lit up as if we left the tv set and christmas tree lights on and yet we can't read the numerals without approaching the clock to within a few inches.
if you like a dark bedroom, this may give you pause.
rather than using acoustic tubing wrapped around the inside of the case, cambridge soundworks has actually mounted a *real* subwoofer inside of this radio.
if you are looking for a easy, out of the box way to add awesome sound to office, kitchen, bedroom - this is the radio to end all radios.
got it for an alarm clock and to just listen to while working in the bedroom at home.
if you are in the kitchen a lot, or what the heck, if it is hung in a bedroom or bathroom, and you are not a sound aficionado, this little outfit will serve you well, i think.
i wish i had a cabinet in my bathroom to put another one!
we ordered the under-the-counter radiocd player for the bathroom, but we tried it out in our kitchen first before installing..and i have been using it here...guess the decision is do we want another
(which usually happens during a storm when i need the weatherband the most!).we use it in the bathroom for a clock and to listen to the radio in the morning, so i can't comment on the alarm features.
up power-cord after i positioned the radio in the bathroom.
i didn't orient the power cord in any special way, but it works well in our second-story bedroom.
it's a little dim at night, but that might be desirable if it's by your bed.i do like the daylight savings time feature and the preset buttons.
i wanted a clock radio with a weatherband, but it has nowhere that i can find to put batteries so it's worthless in event of power outage (which usually happens during a storm when i need the
it is user friendly and quite attractive and most of all, takes up minimal room on my bedside table.
it doesn't appear too bright as i have heard complained of other blue displays--at least not too bright for me but then i admit i am not using this clock in my bedroom.
i purchased the unit for the bedroom to be able to see the time without glasses.
it does do a wonderful job of lighting up the entire bathroom at night, though.
i rated this 2/5 for one simple reason: the led display is so bright that i literally have a blue glow in my bedroom, and that's when i have the dimmer turned to the lower setting.
i intended to put this clock on a bathroom shelf but i couldn't read the display that high up.
the blue light lights my whole room up at nightime, and i have to cover it up when i want to go to bed.
also, you could land a plane with the display screen, so it must be turned away from the bed at night.
pros: good sound cons: difficult to use, hard to set up, so sorry i bought it, too bright for bedside best uses: none
to cross your living room or bedroom threshold.
to date, hubby, master of all bathroom radios, uses only one fm station and occasionally one am station.
this makes it a real pain to micro-adjust the volume to get a low enough volume for earphone listening at bedtime, which is basically the only time i use this radio.
i ended up buying the boston acoustic receptor that was more and i can live with out the cd ability, but imo it was worth the extra $$ pros: name brand cons: difficult to set, poor cd quality, too
even on the low setting, it illuminates the entire bedroom in a blue glow.
if you want your songs to fade in and wake you up without jolting you out of bed in the morning, you might want to consider another radio.
disc-read noise was quieter than what i bought to replace it, for those who can hear that kind of frequency.cons: beware of buying this for a bedside clock - the lcd screen is set such that the
i have to keep the instructions right by my bedside and refer to them every season that the time changes, and even then, it takes a few tries to get it right.
i do like tinkering with computers and whatnot but not my son's alarm clock right before going to bed when he has stayed up too long already.
