This item arrived on time and was just what I was looking for so far no problems and I don't expect any. They work very well for clamping and seem to be holding just fine. from Amazon.com The pipe clamps work great. Gave them two stars because they are made well but just have a design flaw. Others may have had some trouble opening the hard plastic packaging, but mine were so poorly packed that the wrapping was shattered by the time the clamps arrived! from Amazon.com I purchased five of these clamps expecting the non-threaded attachments would be a great thing. I had two disappointments. First, the lack of threads allow the clamp to twist on the pipe. It is hard to get them tight without using both hands. from Amazon.com I too had problems opening the packages (scissors won't cut it) and now have a dinged floor to repair. Some literature would have helped. The package label shows a bar with 3/4" on it but clamp requires 1" OD pipe (3/4" black pipe is 3/4" ID and 1" OD for those of you like me who are too stupid to know that 3/4" means 1"). A very good product for clamping and no problems with the clutch alignments. from Amazon.com
