after finishing the assembly, i installed one of the included bits, and aligned it using a square piece of wood. from Amazon.com i got it running in less than 30 minutes including cleaning the nice coat of oil from "wood touching surfaces." i got twelve mortises done, when the handle snapped off at the spring pin. from Amazon.com i am a woodworker hobbyist with mostly delta power tools including 14" lathe, 14" band saw, finish planer, 8" jointer, 10' radial arm saw. from Amazon.com the handle that lowers the bit onto the woodpiece is made of incredibly poor steel. from Amazon.com do yourself a favor and go to your local wood shop supply store and buy it. from Amazon.com the wobble was enough to score the wood in a circle 1/16th of an inch larger than the bit. from Amazon.com we all know that the unit has been well reviewed on the web and the woodworking mags. from Amazon.com as a woodworker with thirty years experience, both amateur and professional, i feel that my review is qualified and hope that it will be helpful. from Amazon.com it seems like a wooden crate is needed, or at least a far more sturdy cardboard box with heftier packing inside. from Amazon.com even though the chisels are brand new, they tend to tear the wood, not cut through it. from Amazon.com
