packing it in with a portable pc scratches the pc all up *for use on the go i have now purchased a lite on it rocks and works smoothly with my eeepc. from Compusa.com i did have some trouble setting it up using windows vista. from Amazon.com i am using it with a laptop running windows xp, and windows recognized the device right away. from Amazon.com i just bought a second macbook air and did not the external apple drive that i bought with this first one because it would not work connected to a usb hub. from Amazon.com this portable cd/dvd rewritable is definitely fast. from Amazon.com DVD worked correctly out of box. Easy to set up, comes with an AC adapter, and usb cable. from Amazon.com I bought this drive since it IS a sony and its SLIM LINE. The key thing I did not notice? from Amazon.com I bought this for my sister and she was very pleased with it. It is very compact and it works, too. from Amazon.com i have an iMac and found that the vertical CD drive would frequently kick out disks that i tried to copy/burn. once i had this external i've never had a problem. from Amazon.com I just bought a second Macbook Air and did not the external Apple drive that I bought with this first one because it would not work connected to a USB hub.
