Pros: There are absolutely no pros to buying this drive... I didn't purchase mine from Newegg, instead I got it from Best Buy and the only thing it is good for is reading some DVD's, games, and CD's. from Newegg.com Did a build for someone and used this drive. No complaints and does the job well. from Amazon.com Pros: I have been using this drive for over a year now, I got it from new egg, I have 6 of them in my 2 sons and my computer, we now have vista 64 bit and have no problems at all with them, used them in all microsoft programs with no problems even linux, 32 and 64 bit my sons use the dvd dl writing and lite scribe all the time, they have had no problems, this is a excellant drive for the money, have no problems using windows media center to copy to cd dvd or dl, most my freinds use them now and are very satisified, newegg is the place to shop. Cons: no cons except that new egg runs out of them quite often although auto notify worked perfect Other Thoughts: new egg is the perfect place for purchasing computer supplies, cannot beat the price and rapid delivery, when there is a problem their customer support is more than willing to make sure the problem is taken care and when they say they will call you back, they do, then they send you a e-mail, my computers are all from newegg and have no problems, never had to send nothing back, package items with great care thank you newwegg from Newegg.com Pros: MADE FOR HP BY LITE-ON. SELLS FOR ALMOST TWICE AS MUCH AT WALMART. from Newegg.com Pros: I have to apologize for my earlier review in which I called this drive garbage. Now it doesn't recognize anything. Based on previous dissapointments from other HP products I should have never bought this one no matter how good it looked on paper. Only got one egg because you can't give NO eggs. from Newegg.com Pros: Price, LightScribe Cons: Loud Other Thoughts: In my initial review I wrote it only burned DL at 2.4x, after I downloaded Lite-On's Smart Burn Media Check utility I was able to enable OverSpeed and burn at 8x. The burn quality is good if you leave SmartBurn on. from Newegg.com Pros: I put this Burner in my Old, Boat Anchor, Desktop Hp Pavilion a1350n, with windows XP Pro, Loaded the Nero Software, updated the Nero Software, to get sound, and it plays Great. Grabbed one of my Home movies I transfered from VHS to DVD, Copied it for one of my relitives, and it too Burned Great. from Newegg.com
