Mids and highs are very powerful and clean, the tweeter is outstanding in my opinion for a 2 way set. It is nice to have the ability tone the tweeter down a bit. I did that and have them paired with kappa components for my front soundstage and that helps keep my imaging up front, with an awesome rear fill of bass, mids, and delicate highs. I temporarily ran these off stock headunit power and was surprised that they sounded pretty decent, just not very loud. from Crutchfield.com I got the Infinity Kappa 6x9 and 4" speakers to replace my 2 rear deck factory speakers on my Grand Prix. The difference in sound quality is night and day, but I was a little surprised that my factory speakers were louder than the Infinity speakers at the same volume. from Crutchfield.com Awesome speakers, this is actually my second set of Kappa 6X9s. My only complaint is that I installed them thinking i would run them off of power from my Pioneer CD deck like the previous 6x9s i had and was met with a terrible buzzing noise. After talking to the audio tech at the local best buy i was informed that although the Kappas are one of the best speakers on the market they also require a lot of power.
