Installation was almost impossible on my 2003 Subaru Forester: 1) tried LATCH - I could not pull it tight enough to secure the seat so that it would not move. Upon further examination I found that the tightening side of the LATCH strap had run out of room.
I liked the look and affordability of these, but couldn't secure them so they didn't have side to side movement. I initially thought it was because of the securing strap. It is a single strap that runs along the back of the carseat that has two hooks (to attach to the seat) and one tightener(the marathons have individual tighteners on either side of the car seat), but I purchased the Safety First Alpha that has the same strap and it works fine...thus I think it is the base doesn't work with my vehicle (a subaru outback).
We bought this after a less expensive belt-positioning booster was recalled. I liked the price first off. For seats with similar safety ratings, it was among the less expensive. I liked the colors it was available in - it wasn't just a "boy" or "girl" pattern.
The design is stylish and smart, with a black and orange racing image. Looks good in the back of my sports car against grey leather. My 3 year old feels like a "big kid" getting into it, yet it has the 3 point harness for safety. Adjusting the straps was easier than any other carseat I've had, but was still a slight exercise in frustration.
I purchased this car seat for my daughter who is currentlly babysitting her granddaughter and they all love it. It's well made and has all the safety features you want to keep your baby safe. And it can be used until the child weighs 100 lbs.
I purchased 2 Safety 1st Vantage High Back Booster Car Seat in Nitron. One for a 2 year old and one for a 4 year old.
He keeps trying to put his arm under the arm rests because he doesn't have the coordination put his arm over the arm rest. Also, when I put him and out of the car seat, it would be more convenient if I could move the arm rests. Otherwise, we have found Safety 1st to make a great car seat, just like the infant carrier.
I bought this car seat because I have a 3 year old on the small side, and still needed the 5 point harness. It is compact, and a good seat for a small car (Subaru Outback Sport). I love it, but my son always complains his "belly hurts" when he's in it - I think it's because it's not really cushioned like the infant car seats. Hopefully it grows on him!
I bought this car seat for my 3-year old daughter. It is easy to install and comfortable.
I bought this for use in my MINI Clubman. It seems very safe but it was extremely difficult to install.
