It was after the seat was in. My wife is small so a car seat behind her is no problem, however being 6 foot it's tough for me to drive when my chest is almost in the steering wheel. My wife read about the Coccoro while searching the web for a compact car seat. Long story short this seat has been a savior. from Elitecarseats.com Our Coccoro carseat fits great in the car (it's currently rear-facing), which is a VW Jetta. Our daughter is comfortable, has plenty of room, and has figured out that she can see us sitting in the front seat if she cranes her head around. from Amazon.com I already had one seat that was somewhat slim and saw that this seat was the most slim around. I also purchased a Radian 65 at the same time. So, I have a Radian, Combi, and Safety 1st 3in1 altogether in my Forester.
