My husband and I had to give up our Graco infant seat and single stroller for a double stroller since we have another one on the way, but needed something smaller since we have a smaller car (Pontiac G6). I'm also not that big a person (I'm 5'3, and my husband is 6'2). After looking and doing research, we ended up getting the Combi Double Stroller in Papaya with the shuttle infant car seat. The stroller fits well in the back of our trunk and still leaves space for groceries, diaper bags, or whatever else we need to throw back there. from Amazon.com If I were to do it again, I would buy the Baby Trend. It is a great seat and very reasonable priced. We bought this one mainly to fit into the double stroller that we bought from Combi. We love the double stroller, but hate this seat. from Amazon.com On top of everything? There was no way this seat was fitting snugly into my vehicle (2001 Ford F150 crew cab.) Since moving on from this junk we have used both a Graco Snugride32 and an Evenflo Symphony, both of which fasted into my vehicle correctly and snugly with very little movement. The Shuttle, however, rocked back and forth very loosely and no matter how hard we tried or what configuration we tried it would just not fasten any more solidly. I honestly was afraid for my daughter's safety when she was in it...hence our purchase of the Snugride32. from Amazon.com I really liked the texture of the material when I bought it, but it seems like it might not have been the best for durability. I also love the rebound bar and the simplicity of getting the car seat in and out of the car. Of course at first I didn't know how to connect it to the base but with a couple of tries I got the hang of it. from Amazon.com Also, the initial installation in the car was very wobbly from side to side and front to back in spite of following the instructions on the base. Needless to say, these things will have to be worked out or it will be sent back. It is very light weight and attractive - that is the plus for now.
