i bought this car seat when my daughter was about 6 months old and too big for her infant seat. there is nothing wrong with this carseat. it is easy to install and my daughter is very comfortable in it, but it is just an "in-between" seat. i would suggest purchasing a convertible car seat that will last longer. from Amazon.com We have used the Comfort Sport since our son grew too tall for his Snugride at six months. It worked fine rear-facing, and we now have him forward facing, but at two and a half, he's too tall for it now (he is not a big kid though - just a long torso). from Amazon.com This carseat is basic, nothing fancy, but safe and easy to install. The cover doesn't come completely off which is a royal pain when someone gets carsick, it's hard to secure into the backseat. I called Graco to complain about this carseat and they could care less. The padding is pretty thin and the chair sits so upright that my daughter's head falls forward when she falls asleep. She seems to be more comfortable in her Britax. Using it rear facing, it does not seem as sturdy as our old Graco infant seat. The fact you have to roll up a towel to level it doesn't make sense and we had to purchase a new headrest to make more comfortable, luckily because I just read in a review that the headrest was recalled. from Amazon.com Unfortunately, her car is the "family" car and, since our daughter is not consistently sitting up on her own, we often find ourselves debating which car to take since we are not able to take this car seat out (like our other one). So although this car seat will be FANTASTIC when she IS sitting up on her own, it's not for a young newborn. However, when our daughter is put in it, she doesn't seem to mind the straps and seems comfortable.
