We LOVE this car seat. Our daughter is now 12 months old and 24 lbs, but reached the max height limit, so we just switched her to a Graco Nautilus this month. PROS - It's easy to use with the base or without; easy to install; you can buy another base for 2nd vehicle; the harness loosens and tightens with ease; the infant inserts work great; pretty easy to wash and stains come out of fabric well; my daughter was able to stay rear-facing as long as possible, better for safety and my budget (since I bought a forward-facing seat next, not a bulkier, more expensive convertible.) CONS - The seat is heavier than regular one; it makes a tight fit on some cars and airplanes due to it's slightly larger frame; our child outgrew it due to height, not weight by one year old; My only consolation is that my daughter really loved being able to sit forward when she turned 1, so switching made sense to us. Overall I really enjoyed this seat and would recommend it to my friends and family. from Elitecarseats.com This was an excellent car seat - we had another but this was (by far) better and more comfortable for my son. The only problem I have with this car seat is that there is no way it will last until he's 30 lbs - he's exceptionally tall. She was very snug in the infant insert (needs to be removed when baby reaches 11 lbs per manual) and still looks comfortable today at 7 months old. I am a certified car seat technician and have installed a ton of infant carriers and bases. from Amazon.com You will want to add an insert pad for small newborns or premies, but that's the case with every seat I've ever seen that holds larger children as well. They are easy to adjust; we have to do it all the time, because the two girls are somewhat different sizes, and we don't use a particular seat for a certain child. It's very nice that you can use the seat for up to 30 lbs.; many seats that are sold are not for children this heavy. It is also large enough that it makes it near impossible to sit in the front seat when the chair is installed in my mid-sized car (Subaru WRX wagon). This is pretty inconvenient, but I don't know that another infant seat would be any better. Easy to install, easy to snap in and out of the base, easy to strap the baby in, easy to clean, nice neutral colors. Doesn't really fit in the shopping cart, but I don't feel like the ones that do are safe there anyway. One thing I don't see a use for, now that we have it, is the 30lb weight limit. from Amazon.com
