i'm not writing this to be critical of other parents. rather, i just wanted to mention that car seats expire 6 years from the date of manufacture. i've seen a few reviews where the parents of children under 1 year old were looking to buy a car seat to last until their child is 80 lbs. i don't know a single 6 year old over 80 lbs, and if i did, i couldn't imagine they'd fit in such a narrow seat. from Target.com Pros: Safe, 5 point harness to 80lbs. There is also plenty of room for my now fairly little one to grow in this seat. I bought it to carry her through to 80lbs as advertised and it looks like there will be little problem with that. We tried it in the middle and both end seats. It is so tall, that the Radian 80 would hit up against the two front seats and not sit or secure right. It seems as if it would be a great forward facing seat, but we wanted to leave our child rear facing as long as possible for the saftey. from Target.com You will actually save money as this will be the only car seat you should ever need!-Plus if you have more than two children you can still choose the vehicle you want to drive, do not have to purchase a larger vehicle just to be able to fit in the car seats!
