We have had our Graco Snugride (Family Tree) carseat for 9 months now. Safety-wise, I know it is one of the best, and my daughter has always been comfortable in it. from Target.com While I was pregnant, a special on the news came out about the safest car seats and the worst. I'd originally planned to go with Eddie Bauer only because of the brand but the news article said Graco was THE safest. I then chose this carseat and now I have the whole Family Tree collection. from Target.com After reading the Consumer Reports article & ratings on the infant carseats today, we found ourselves in need of a new infant carseat before our 3rd baby is born next month. We had one of the two listed at the bottom of the ratings as non-acceptable. It took a little work to track one of the Graco Snugride Family Tree infant carseats down in a local store(the employees at the operator's desk can use one of their scanning guns to check in-stock at their store & other Targets) and we found it at the second Target i went to--my guess is that there will probably be a run on them for awhile. I selected the Graco Snugride because it's a CR best buy and is pink. The carseat installed very easy using the latch system and appears snug and secure. from Amazon.com This one did pass and yes it does have the ESP foam if you don believe me go look at the Graco site yourself. All SnugRides with model numbers ending with 3 have ESP foam. from Target.com I got this also as a shower gift to use in the Graco Family tree Duo stroller. I have no complaints. from Target.com We've been using the SnugRide for the past 2 months now and it is very sturdy and easy to use.
