We purchased this car seat for our 4 pound preemie, that outgrew it in a month. Even when our daughter was 4lbs the car seat was too heavy, so heavy that my mother couldnt even pick it up when she had my daughter. My husband had to take the seat and the baby out to her car and when she got where she was going with my daughter she had to take the baby out of the seat and carry her. I did like the triangle shaped handle but it still was a bear to carry any where and I developed callous on my right hand from carrying it.
I have used this car seat for about 5 weeks. Overall, I would buy again - here's some helpful info, I hope! Points to consider PRO's - 1) in Top 4 of Consumer Reports safety ratings and is most cost effective of those.
The straps ALWAYS get twisted. 4. It doesn't have strap covers to protect your baby's neck from getting rubbed. 5.
This car seat is very difficult to work with. -The carrying handle is impossible to move up (to carry) and down (to get the baby out). The buttons are VERY difficult to push.
We bought this for our second child and ended up returning it for a Graco SnugRide. We found the straps and handle ridiculously difficult to deal with.
