before getting the 9140, i had a kenwood kvt-910.

we preordered two of these units based on the features announced by kenwood and crutchfield's dnx9140 product page (at the time).

it's a nice radio,great features and it does what is expected and what it's supposed to do.should have a dtachable face for the price you pay.but not a b ad radio at all,kenwood the name speaks for

this is not my 1st gps, i have installed a kenwood dnx5120 in my other vehicle and a factory vw navi in another.

in addition to this unit, i own vehicles with bmw's navigation system, toyota's navigation system and the kenwood dnx8120 and by far i like this unit's navigation features the best.

by comparison, kenwood menus are a mess (except for navi which is garmin) & often require you to refer back to the manual.

but i do know this, for the price, as compared to the likes of alpine, eclipse & kenwood you can't beat this unit for features offered out of the box.
