Best Camera Lenses for Cano

the lens reminds me of the canon 50mm f1.8 cheap prime, a great lens as long as you have good lighting as proved by my usage of it.

after my old lens broke on my xt (from my original 35mm rebel), i replaced it with a different brand that was less expensive and not a canon.

the wide-angle is effective and even if in some situations there is some barrel distortion the lens is recognized in canon dpp which can remove it quickly and effectively.

i'm not seeing anywhere near the level of fringing shown in some of their test shots.if anything, i'd call it "low" i read elsewhere that one of canon's goals in adding the aspherical element to this

i've used this lens under various conditions and even with low light using my canon 430 ex flash it captured quality pictures.

this is an awesome lens from canon for your dslr - it partners nicely with the kit lens.

instead of having a mode 1/mode 2 switch, canon opted to have an auto detect ''feature'' where it tries to figure out if you''re panning(eg following a moving car/bird/ufo) or just sitting still.

i bought this lens for my canon eos xti and used it at a family wedding for the first time.

when i received my canon 18-200mm lens i couldn't wait to try it out and i have to say that i'm very pleased.

otherwise, i agree with the other reviewers that this is a really great all-purpose lens, and i highly recommend it, but it does have this one frustrating flaw that hopefully canon will fix in future

i recently got my 18-200 canon ef lens, it replaced the 18-55 that came in the package deal with my xsi canon.

then along comes canon with their own superzoom "travel lens" so i bought one to see how it compares to the sigma.

to begin with, its very lightweight, which is nice on the old film-based canon body.

canon also has amazing online customer support.

i think about $1000 is the reasonable price, so i recommend you to wait another year till canon provides promotions for double or triple rebate, if you really want to enjoy the quality of this lens.

also, if you can wait another year, you'll probably be able to get a much better price including a canon double or triple rebate.

it should, however, be noted that the lens can be stopped down quite a few steps to still obtain superior shots than you would with any zoom, canon l zooms included.

there is nothing like it in 35mm photography, except maybe the 85mm f1.2 lens that canon sells.
