i was initially skeptical of this lens given the low price, but after shooting with it, i'm obliged to tip my hat to nikon and add my voice to the deluge of positive reviews.

about its design for dx, it is its really advantage, cause it make the lens much cheaper to manufacture to obtain the same optical quality, therefore much better value for its price on dx dslr.

it would be nice to have vr (for longer exposure handheld operation, and for people with less stable photography technique) but it will probably increase the size, weight and cost of this lens.
