Best Manual Focus Camera Lenses for Novice

i bought this lens for my canon eos xti and used it at a family wedding for the first time.

this lens is great for portraits or product shots where you want to focus on one subject and have the foreground & background blurred out.

this is an awesome lens from canon for your dslr - it partners nicely with the kit lens.

i realize that this is by far not the greatest lens, but for the price it is to me, a newcomer to the digital slr world, this lens great, as far as price in concerned.

it makes a nice portrait lens at 70mm, it seems to do a better job with shortening the depth-of-field compared to the 40-150.

although some reports indicate focus is slow in low-light situations, in good light where this lens will usually be used, it's quite fast.

i've had this lens for a couple of weeks now, shooting with it on an e-420.

the af is a little slow, but certainly on par with or better than my 18-55 kit lens.

this 35mm lens is sharp, i takes great photos in low light situation.

if you have a nikon dslr and you want to shoot in low light your cameras iso adjustment and lenses that have vr are a help.

in something very dark like pirates, set your nikon to shutter priority 1/125 and take the photos; you can brighten where necessary later.

weight - while i like a nice substantial feel to the camera and lens (the fz 50 isn't light and neither is the 300k the lightest) i prefer it to be light enough that both me and my wife can operate.

based on that review i bought the lens and do not regret because the resulting photos are very good indeed.

i recently purchased a sony alpha 300, which is my first dslr.

the first couple of days after i got it, i thought i was going to be disappointed but after i used it a bit, i am really happy with the pictures.
