it just has to be shot at at least 1/focal length of the lens, you might get away with 3-quarters but you'd be lucky. from Buydig.com this lens lets you take amazingly crisp picture, it is compact & light for a 14x zoom, and affordable. from Buydig.com the quality of image from dslr is always far better than from compact digital camera, which it is very acceptable to me. from Buydig.com it's the only true dslr lens i own and it's probably all i'll ever need. from Buydig.com it would be super if it was a little bit faster but i use it with my pentax k10d and with the camera's shake reduction feature you can shoot at slower shutter speeds than normal even when set at 250mm from Buydig.com the only neagatives i can say is basically the same that most people say; my images were a little soft at the extreme long end, but it seemed only around the edges, and it does take some getting use from Bhphotovideo.com kind of large range lens (most of them are not good in the from Bhphotovideo.com it's a little spendy - i paid $499 for it but it is a high quality optic and when you consider all the lenses it replaces, it's probably a bargain at that price. from Buydig.com lens quality is excellent for its zoom range. from Buydig.com build quality seems excellent and it has a nice feel and look to it. from Buydig.com
