if you are a student, you should probably get the calculator recommended by your instructor.
i always thought hp should have marketed a version of the hp95 palmtop with mathcad or tk solver in rom for scientific/engineering folks.
- some expressions are not what a trained mathematician would expect.
i bought an 89 last spring at wallyworld for sixty dollars unopened (i guess they were clearing them out for the titaniums: even so, my fellow engineers called me "traitor", but, hey, sixty!) i was
i bought the hp35 in the early 70's when i was a graduate student at washington university.
i bought one very complicated for what i needed but now have figuired out how to use it for my simple needs
this item is easy to use, and very handy for all my needs, from simple to complicated problems.
this one is easy to use and has many options whether to print or not to print and is relatively quiet during operation.
This item is easy to use, and very handy for all my needs, from simple to complicated problems.
this calculator replaces a very old calculator that had died.
pros: easy to use, many functions, two-color print outs, two memories cons: none the bottom line: for a calculator that can almost do the calculations without your help, this is a great
I have been looking for an inexpensive printing calculator, and finally found it in the Sharp that I purchased.
Fast Shipment, Product as Described, No Surprises, Would Buy from this seller again.
The Bottom Line: This is a good office calculator, but you should avoid overusing the print function in order to save ink and paper.
The Bottom Line: For a calculator that can almost do the calculations without your help, this is a great desktop calculator to have in your office setting.
it does compensate for the lack of a keypad on my laptop and it does what it is supposed to do, so i'm happy with it if not my mathematical acumen.
it doesn't have any of the complicated functions that programmable calculators have.
the only con i saw was that the battery is not supposed to be user replaceable although it has solar power.
but if you just need to do basic math functions most of the time then this is a solid choice.
- 12-digit display.
the display is large and the buttons are great for folks with large fingers.
easy to use, and very reasonably priced.
i have lost confidence in their accuracy.the battery is not replacable so it a throw-away!
thankfully, i know a bit about math, so i know what to expect as far as a range of output.
one great plus point is that it operates with both a built in battery and on solar power....so in case you cant get enough solar juice you are not out in the cold.
the keyboard layout is also not nearly as easy to use as the numeric pad on the keyboard that i have from an old imac.
if you want ease of use, go with the goldtouch.
this item has some unique features, you can use it as a stand alone calculator it uses a standard watch battery so it is easy to find a replacement.
however, if left plugged in to the usb port, the battery drains very quickly.
that connects the battery.
i just use it for basic math and therefore would not want a cornucopia of functions.
the answers are just not accurate enough for advanced school or work in statistics.
i like the durable metal casing, the large 12 digit lcd display, the angled prop below, the large keys and the ample spaces between the keys.
i like the number display.
Nice calculator.
low light sensitivity could be better (or have the option to slip a button cell battery into it) but for the money, it's great.
this is a great little calculator, with a huge digital display.....but don't expect it to work in a dimly lit room.
does not work unless you are outdoors (where you can't see the display) or under a good amount of indoor light.
get display on.
Calculator has Canon's name but it doesn't look precious.
I keep this next to my PC where I do banking and pay bills--very handy
I like this calculator.
It works very well.
the one I received needs a lot of sun light to work.
The Bottom Line: For basic calculations, it satiates all fields
Pros: very basic good value calculator
I bought this calculator for my wife because she is legally blind so she needs something that she can read.
