Maybe I work with a bunch of nerds, but everyone I have showed this calculator to thinks it's the coolest thing. (Granted they do mostly work in accounting). from Amazon.com I like it's resemblance to the original inexpensive, very-basic TI calculator. It also seems to work well except for the instructions. from Amazon.com I was looking for a numeric keypad for my laptop and found this in the same aisle. It as all the functions that I needed, PLUS it can be used as a stand-alone calculator. from Amazon.com One thing I didn't realize was that this is either a numeric keypad for your windows PC or a calculator. Meaning you can't use the calculator to compute when connected to the PC. from Amazon.com I bought this calculator primarily because I was looking for a good general use calculator. Pros: from Amazon.com I recently found myself in a position where I needed a handheld calculator with just basic functions. This one fit the bill and deid satisfy my need. from Amazon.com it does compensate for the lack of a keypad on my laptop and it does what it is supposed to do, so i'm happy with it if not my mathematical acumen. from Amazon.com it doesn't have any of the complicated functions that programmable calculators have. from Amazon.com the only con i saw was that the battery is not supposed to be user replaceable although it has solar power. from Amazon.com but if you just need to do basic math functions most of the time then this is a solid choice. from Amazon.com
