This is a great calculator. I had an older version of the TI-36x solar from years ago but the screen had malfunctioned over time. I didn't hesitate to order another one exactly like I had. from Buy.com Great calculator for use in the difficult certified industrial hygiene or certified health physicist exam. It's non programmable so it's accepted but allows quick conversions through 2nd and 3rd functions which eliminate simple but costly errors when converting between metric and imperial. It's solar function eliminates the nagging worry of a battery running out and it's rugged design makes it a tool of choice for field work. It has all the functions I want, and I'm so used to it I remember where they all are. I love the stored scientific constants, and the functions are exactly what I need to quickly calculate answers for my Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus classes (much quicker than most of my students struggling with their graphing calculator.)
