also, it takes too many steps to get to set margins for a document in word 2004: file > page setup > pull down the settings menu to choose microsoft word > click on margins button.

when you use it as a twain scanner, a great setup screen comes up and allows you to set the dpi, color selections, just about anything you would want to change or set for a scanner.
