i purchased punch home design platium and have found it to be difficult to use and has very limited basic objects.
if you don't have a basic design in mind, you will have problems.
it's exceedingly slow (and i have a fast system), it has numerous bugs and it's a pain to use once you get past the basics.
It seems like they are so large that all they care about is looking good, actual ease of use does not seem to be a priority.

the bottom line: it's sturdy construction, simple mechanisms, stylish good looks and great toast making ability won me over hands down.

i'd love to do the sql import/connection but it's not allowed, but i'm sure this is a super feature for anyone who wants to have one super easy to use database.
filemaker is a reliable and easy to use relational database program.
filemaker pro 9 works great and is both very flexible and easy to use.
you can pick up filemaker 8 training for $10 on ebay, and that will teach you 90% of what you need to know bc the basics did not change much between 8 and 9.
