Summary: DON'T BUY IT!!If you're a computer professional like me you learn to judge a company by it's customer support as much as the product. This product may have started out with a good plan by the original designers but the newest company that bought the product is interested in making profit and cutting expenses. from Mwave.com Summary: I have been using the new version 11 of Paperport for about 6 months and agree completely with others that this "improvment" is a lousy piece of software!I can almost guarantee "lockups" about 5-10 times each time I use this software - and there are NO updates or fixes for the problems. The technical personnel and procedures are ridiculous - why should a customer have to pay for advice from a company that sells poorly designed and flawed software?I spend more time correcting and "adjusting" documents that are misread or "lost" or just plain destroyed when using this software - I might as well just go back to the old metal file cabinet and save myself a lot of frustration. from Mwave.com Summary: I am pulling my hair out with this product. I use it a lot. The annotation tools make it easy to mark up documents and send them out for review to a group of people. The salepeople are outright liars (promised V-11 would co-exsist with V-10 if I wanted to return easily and said it was much faster than V-10. from Mwave.com After reading all the horror stories about this upgrade I tried to find a suitable substitute. I have been using PaperPort since 2003 or 2004 and really hated to not be able to keep my records that way, I could find none that would work with my 64 bit Vista. from Amazon.com The people who own the company now have decided that they could save a lot of money by giving absolutely no support. It is just a waste of time to even try and call them. In short save your money and go get Adobe Professional....it actually does work. from Amazon.com PaperPort 11 is a very glitchy program and tricky to use.
