Best Boomboxes for Less

i was looking for a boombox for my mp3 player with a built-in subwoofer for around 100.00 or less.

easy setup, less frustrating, more enjoyment.

so it's not good/convenient to bring to a hotel, or friends house, etc...but, it's serviceable and makes me feel like less of a sucker for buying a sportster to begin with.

there is no distortion at high levels and out plays boom boxs that cost much more, but i wouldn't expect less from sony.

sony's less expensive machines have smaller speakers and an increased hardness in their sound.

i needed something portable to play cassettes of violin lessons.

the sony zs-h10cp at much less weight is a nice sounding simple boombox.

i bouhgt this unit to use in less than ideal environments (outside, garage, around wet or dusty environments).

water gets in some of the ports even with it under a roof over hang here in portland,rainy/green oregon and i called sony and they could have cared less!

for the price though it should be far better than it is, you can buy a lot of cheaper radios that will do the same job for less money.
