the round shape makes it great for people with larger feet without taking up too much room.
we like that it registers down to 0.2 lbs - precise enough for us to use to weigh our small dog and infant.
my husband is 6 feet 7 inches and it definitely lives up to it's accuracy for weighing large capacity.
i am a large frame guy, 5'11" and 190 lbs, and get 18% fat and 60% water every single time i measured myyself for the past few weeks.
there was small glitches (wouldn't work like it said on the directions: it said just tap your foot on the scale and it will show lbs and it wouldn't even do that..
the only small negative is that the reading can swing a tenth or two, but that goes away once you learn how to properly use the scale without shifting your body weight.
i am a large guy, so i needed a scale with this capacity.
finally found a scale that's dead on to my doctor's full size mechanical scale.
we'd considered getting the compact version of this, but this one is really not that big.
nice size too and very easy to turn on!
my older ww model had a much smaller overall platform and was not stable at all, and if you stepped on it wrong it'd try to tip.
we like the precision of 0.1 pound, we can see the small weight change of our body.
as others have mentioned, there is a large, very hard-to-remove red sticker showing where you "tap" the scale (the middle of the glass platform) to turn it on.
a small whine: it comes with a big red sticker on the top explaining how to operate.
i'm on a weight loss program and needed a scale that would be attractive, had a large readout and was accurate.
the display is very large for comfortable reading, and it looks great in bathroom.
my only gripes are that it takes about 10 seconds from the time you press your button until it is ready to weigh you and the circular design means that bigger feet will feel cramped on this scale.
i have found them to seem to be more accurate right after a shower, but i am only judging that against readings i got from a small hand held unit.
the reason i took a star away from a perfect score, is a small detail about the body fat calculations.
nomally, i intent to excercise every day for reduce the size instead of the diet pills.
some people expect too much from a $50 scale, but if you are buying this because you are tired of just watching the biggest loser and see everyone else climb on a scale and lose weight, you can climb
the numbers are large for those of us who are vision-challenged.
my mom needed a scale and this one has large numbers which is perfect for her cause she has contacts and she uses it before bed and when she wakes up, so her contacts arent always on.
the wii fit shows my bmi at over 29% and says "that's overweight" plumping my poor mii into a larger body frame, all while she twists about looking at her larger proportions.
we have a small square tile bathroom floor and have to make sure the rubber legs do not sit on or in the tile crevices for an accurate reading.
the numbers are large and easy-to-read.
my only gripe is the display flashes each reading way too fast, (2 seconds for each of the 5 cycles) and the bone/fat/water/muscle indicator is very small.
