like any other body fat scale it's only accurate if you take the reading first thing in the morning and use the readings over a long period of time, because it can be off by as much as a couple of
i bought it new and the readings for weight and body fat seem to be about right.
i compared it with my salter 0.1 lbs accurate scale and their weight reading matched exactly.
you can stand on it several times and even on different surfaces and get the exact same reading.
the readings i get help keep me on track with my diet and exercise program seeing my muscle mass go up while my body fat goes down!
i've compared it twice to the reading on an expensive commercial digital scale in my doctor's office and got the same reading to 0.1 lb.
i bought this scale after reading reviews of it on amazon and am really happy with it.
accurate readings though hard to see in a darker lite room.
after going through two ~$50 digital scales that gave wildly different readings from one weighing to the next, we got fed up and decided to try the lifesource.
we'd been reading reviews and looking for scales on amazon for years when we saw this one.
candles to myself and this scale gives the same reading for the weight time after time.
i've tried hopping off and then hopping back on to see if i get a different reading, and so far it seems to not vary more than 0.2 lbs.
the display is very large for comfortable reading, and it looks great in bathroom.
ultimately i was sold by the fact that this unit is capable of storing readings for up to 4 people, as well as tracking the percentage of body fat.
it doesn't store past readings (except the most recent), which, whatever.
the reading is off for my entire family.
it will also save all these readings for up to four different people.
obviously i don't like the reading on the scale, but it seems consistent.
however, when mine was delivered i opened the box, and the batteries fell into my lap, i saw where they went and put them in all without reading the instructions.
this scale is great because it has a higher capacity then most, tried to use it without firt reading the instructions, and found that we needed to use the instructions, but work great after we used
it gives me accurate and consistent readings every time.
very accurate and gives the same readings every time i test it out.
the escali eliminates all of those requirements and provides a consistent body fat reading.
it doesn't give you several different readings, they are always on the same weight time after time, unless of coarse you move around, or lean too far forward....
basically this is a good scale, however it may vary the readings somewhat, sometimes as much as a half pound.
we have found that the weight is pretty close to our physician's scale and have confidence in the readings.
i was purposely looking for an upgrade with the heavy glass base because i'd read they were more stable, not subject to as much variation in readings as the older kind.
have had this scale for only a few days - tested accuracy by stepping on and off a few times - same reading as long as feet are placed in the same area - if not - you may lose a pound or two (good
i always weigh twice in a row, and with this scale i always get the same reading on both occassions.
for me and my wife, if the reading is x% in the morning, it is x-0.6% in the afternoon and x-0.9% in the evening.
the scale works fairly well and is consistent in the readings for weight and fat/water percentages.
the only way to force it to give you an accurate reading is to exceed 1.5 pounds since your last weighing.
i haven't been able to use any other features other than the weight reading.
i've had it for almost a year and the battery is still working well and the readings are consistent (take a reading step off test again) and the weight reading are consistent with the doctor's office
