I bought this scale in a store, came home read the reviews before I tried it out and thought ugh, now I have to go back to the store. Although I didn't believe it could be off by so much like one other review pointed out, but it was. from Amazon.com This scale may serve some purpose, but it is absolutely useless as a human weight measuring device. It gives readings that vary more that twenty pounds depending on where you stand on the scale. from Amazon.com Very inaccurate... Bought two....inconsistent differences between the two up to 14 pounds. Checked against an old school medical scale.... Look pretty...have tried putting them in different places and changed a little better... from Amazon.com After that I had to replace the special batteries ($8.50) & they did not seat in place correctly - poor mfg. Also after replacing the batteries the darn thing indicated I weighed about 100 pounds when I'm actually double that. It was returned & I will never buy this style of scale from this mfg again.
