I have a child care home for 12 children and in the summer the parents that are teachers pull their children out creating vacancies on the roster for some of the children I have had over the last 16 years of service. We have several boys with lots of energy and it's difficult finding the right game to hold their interest. All of our children ages 6-12 loved Hyper Dash, we even used is for relay races at our "End of Summer Party". We changed teams after every level to keep it fair and for children under 6 we used it on top of picnic table. from Amazon.com There are also modes for single play, so "only children" will enjoy it as well. I won't bother going into all the details of the game (you can get that from the other 200+ reviews), but I highly recommend this game. If you are trying to decide to get this or HyperJump or HyperSlide (both of which are also great games), I'd advise to purchase this one. from Amazon.com Obviously not appropriate for the 1 year olds. First you spread out the targets around the room or yard which are different colors and have numbers on them. You select a game (hyper dash, micro dash, micro team dash) and a level (1-3). The first player strikes any target to start. from Amazon.com You try to beat your time or your opponents time. It's great entertainment for one person or a group of players. My only concern about the product is it's durablity in that you have to really hit the targets hard to get a response from the dash stick....and you know how hard kids (especially boys)can be on toys.
