i use frozen fruit to make my smoothies and this blender makes easy work of mixing the ingredients quickly to make a cafe-style smoothie.
it does a great job of evenly mixing and the intelli-speed(tm) (controls and adjusts power to compensate for thicker mixtures) is great.
this is a powerful blender, easily crushing ice, chopping veggies, or mixing that smoothie or pina colada.
we had a b&d blender before, this one does a much better job in mixing everything and crushing ice....
the crush ice feature is nice because you can break up the ice before mixing it.
the bottom line: i recommend the smartstick as a handy and fast way to fine-chop or puree foods for recipes and for mixing non-ice cream drinks.
the whisk that came with this was too big and you need to have a really big mixing bowl to be able to whisk eggs properly.
