this machine is helping me transition from sad eating to a more whole foods diet.
it's not costing me any less, but i'm finally getting my value from the foods where it counts.
other reasons i love this blender: it a breeze to clean, it fits under my counter cabinets, and i don't need a separate container/blades to blend dry foods.
my wife recently went on a raw foods diet and insisted that she needed a $350-$550 vitamix or blendtec blender because that's what all the raw food sites recommended.
i also prefer that the jug is glass (which doesn't stain, works better w/ hot foods, and is non-stick).
in between batches of different foods, i.e.
so the procedure of holding a dish towel over the lid when blending hot foods is necessary.
container is fairly small, but blades seem to draw foods down and prevent most splashing.
i also use it to grind flaxseed for my shakes and to put on a few other foods.
does a great job for smoothies, purees and other foods as well.
for various naural foods and other products.

just don't expect to blend ice, soft foods and liquids work best.
* not intended for all food - manual says not to process hard foods such as cheese, crackers or meat.
i would recomend this more for cooked foods, like to make baby food or salsa.
the bottom line: i recommend the smartstick as a handy and fast way to fine-chop or puree foods for recipes and for mixing non-ice cream drinks.
apart, and -- contrary to whispering willow's objection to cutting up vegetables prior to using the smart stick chopping attachment -- the foods usually require more prepping before you put them in.
the multi-use appliances have more removable parts, they're more complicated to put together and take apart, and -- contrary to whispering willow's objection to cutting up vegetables prior to using
being vegans, we use the blender daily, for many types of foods.
the bottom line: i definatly recommend the magic bullet because it is very easy to make healty fruit smoothies and various other foods.
with the magic bullet i save a lot of time preparing a host of foods and drinks.
great for small batches of foods or drinks.?
in our experience, the magic bullet is great for pureeing and blending, and for grinding hard foods, but it doesn't work well for grinding soft foods.
it has a very powerful motor and completely blends foods together.
