the "smoothie" attachment is made of cheap plastic, including the "blade" so if you like your smoothies with frozen fruit or ice, forget about using this attachment.

i think my problem with stalling out is that after six months of making smoothies (including ice-crushing) with the blade, i'm guessing the blade is a bit worn out.
