the start button is nice it makes a drink about the consistancy of a smoothie from smoothie king.
we have also been making frozen smoothies for the kids with it as well.
the best part is that the only thing that gets dirty and sticky is the blender jar.
however, i highly recommend wiping the bottom of the chrome ice chute since drink mix can splash up and make it sticky.
the first time we used it, we made margaritas.
for more "everyday" tasks, it makes uber-quick work of smoothies, sauces, and milkshakes.
i make a lot of frozen drinks in the hot texas summers so it is doing yeoman duty for me!
as far as features go, i love the one-piece jar/blade assembly, because it's so ridiculously easy to clean...just toss the whole thing into the dishwasher.

i couldn't wait to try it on a new recipe for tomato - butternut squash soup; full of whole tomatoes, chunks of squash, carrots and other wonderful veggies.

amazingly, it does a faster and quieter job on thicker smoothies than the professional blender i killed after a year of use.
this is the first immersion blender that i have owned and if my experience with the kitchenaid brand holds true with this product it will be my last too!
this blender is fabulous - i've used it for milkshakes but where it comes in handiest is when i use it to puree soups, which i do often.
