I had been looking for a blender that would crush ice without stalling or getting jammed. This Hamilton Beach gets the job done. It's excellent for smoothies on a warm day. from Amazon.com Like having the dispenser, and it is removable for times you don't want the hassle. Good power. Also, the dispensing spigot is a great way to fill glasses as the blender is running, but the spigot completely fell apart in my hands as I was attempting to put it back together after washing it, and it can't be repaired. I contacted Hamilton Beach by email for hints on how to handle these problems, and I rec'd. one email telling me that they'd have someone else email me. from Amazon.com A great addition to my remodeled kitchen! This Hamilton Beach gets the job done. from Amazon.com There have been occasional small leaks with the spigot, but I found that lightly oiling the rubber parts after washing before reassembly fixed that. Just use a light, neutral taste oil like peanut or corn to avoid flavoring your drinks with it! The blender has been trouble-free for the month and a half so far that it's been here. It replaced a 25+ year old model (brand no longer exists) that had finally quit. from Amazon.com
