The wisk attachment has a speed reducer so it operates at a proper speed and with enough torque to do the job. I just wish there were different speeds because sometimes this speed is a little too strong for mixing certain things and if you're not careful it spills everywhere but I think it takes a few times of using it to get a hang of how it works.
