No big deal, really. Of course, then motor died within the first year (like most other reviews). So I discuss the issue with the fine fols at Cuisinart. They inform me that I need to pay for all shipping, and they also need me to include a $10 check in my return to pay for the shipping BACK to me! from Amazon.com Worst part is he says it will take 4-6 weeks (long time to go in Aug in FL without smoothies!). Just a PITA though that shouldn't happen after 1 year. They really don't make stuff like they used to I know, but I expected better from Cuisinart. from Amazon.com Would buy again. Space saver. Although some will get ones without defects. This is typical of what occurs when there is virtually no quality control, as the BFP-10CH is one of the typical family of products that are off-shored to Communist China. Compared to some high-end Cuisinart food processors I've used, it's delightfully simple. I would like coarser blades -- the reversible blade works well, but it slices / grates very fine, especially at the recommended speed. from Amazon.com I recently decided to give the BFP-10CH a try, since I have had great success with Cuisinart products, and I was similarly pleased with this device.
