We purchsed this as a result of the cost compared to our local retailers!! We wanted a combination unit and Oster is a better brand than most of what's available. We have not been disappoionted with our purchase yet! from Overstock.com we mostly use it for mixing smoothies and sauces, but the mini-chopper feature is handy too. from Overstock.com wanted the blender mainly for smoothies. from Overstock.com does everything i need, mixes cocktails, makes salsa, takes up a small area so it stays out! from Overstock.com it is easy to clean and looks nice. from Overstock.com i don't wash any of it in the dishwasher but it isn't hard to hand wash and dry. from Overstock.com i love smoothies, ice cream drinks & frappuccinos. from Overstock.com makes some outstanding smoothies! from Overstock.com i have used it for homemade baby food, daily smoothies, milkshakes, making hashbrowns, and on and on. from Amazon.com I have had this blender/food processor for over four years now and I love it!
