my husband wanted a new blender for christmas and after researching blenders on cook's illustrated and amazon, i decided to take a chance with the breville.
my beloved kitchenaid blender finally dies and i do not like the design of the new ones so i thought hard about the replacement and settled on the breville.
the breville was my first choice for its reasonable price/power and it's great looks.
it's warranted for one year, so we went to breville's website & called them on the phone.
breville bbl550xl ikon 610-watt stainless-steel blender
i just got the breville hemisphere.
i called breville custoemr service and they said this had never happened with this unit.
the breville 800blxl has sufficient power but has a greater tendency to create an air pocket around the blade mechanism than the cuisinart.
i can not speak to the long term reliability of the product, but i have had other breville products and they are consistently top drawer.
this is a dream....i not only love this blender but the other 2 breville products i own.
the breville cordless hand blender kicks it up a notch by freeing you from the cord.
i am now on my second breville mixer since march (six months).
i strongly advise anyone thinking of purchasing this -- or anything else made by breville -- to avoid this brand.
bought this breville for the cordless convenience, but it stalls out often, even on full charge.
the breville works perfectly every time.
Contacting Breville's USA support is impossible, so my investment is toast.
I suggest the Breville if you are interested in a sleek, powerful, and efficient blender at a reasonable price.
