Wize Buying Guide for Hunting
A good set of binoculars can be a great asset to any hunting trip. There are a wide variety of styles and models on the market today and an equally wide price range to choose from, so it's best to know what you need and what to look for before making the big purchase:

Max Magnification

How far do you want to see? If you choose a model with 10x magnification, looking at objects through the binoculars will appear 10 times closer. Decide what sort of detail you'll require for your sport; generally, a hunter will not need binoculars with as high a magnification factor as a bird-watcher would.

Field of View

For hunters, a wide field of view is ideal. This tells you how wide your viewing angle is at a certain distance. For instance, 250 ft. at 1,000 yards will give you a viewing angle of 250 feet across at a distance of 1,000 yards. If you are looking for binoculars to take with you on a hunting trip, choose a model with a wide field of view.

Water Resistance

If you're out in the snow and the rain a lot, a waterproof model is a must. Your expensive binoculars will last many years and will be able to endure the same weather as you.
