i like this product but not so much the lever action focusing.
as to the clarity, ease of use, it excels.
the clarity of long range magnification is precise, not fuzzy or grainy like my previous one.
the crisp clear vision is outstanding.
i'm an amature astronomer, and the views i get are crisp and sharp.
this item based on other user reviews and bushnell's brand name, i was not not disappointed.it is an excellent product and worth its money.the image quality is exceptionally clear and easy to focus.

she was thrilled with the quality of the optics, and the ease in which she can focus the binocluars, which is important to her bird watching hobby.bushnell powerview 16x50 binocular
but the complaint i had about it was that sometimes i felt that the field of vision was too narrow and focusing was sometimes a pain.
in use, the quick focus mechanism is actually very effective but definitely requires two hands to operate as it's a little stiff (and as a lever, you have to be able to press down on either side).
great for everyday knockaround use, focus bar is smooth and quick.
their only weakness is short distance clarity which is only good at distance further than 35'.
i've had this binoculars as my main optics for surveillance and they are crisp, brighter than their competitors .
i really like the perma-focus attribute of this product.
the perma-focus makes this product awesome for the visually handicapped.
the bushnells may or may not have the quality of optics that the more expensive units did but the "permafocus" or infinite depth focus makes it so you just pick them up and look.
i can't even begin to describe how amazing it is to never have to focus your binoculars.
this is not good for close viewing since it can not be manually focused.
the greatest thing about this product is the perma focus.
what caused me to purchase the bushnell perma focus auto focus binoculars 12 x 50 was the manyreviews it received from buyers.
it's fabulous to be able to use them and not have to fuss with glasses, focusing, adjusting the fit...
the self-focusing feature on these binocs save me a lot of focusing time, since i have one good eye and one that needs correction.
great magnification and focus but a bit difficult to hold stll.
no matter what you look at, it's in focus and is crystal clear.
for objects at a distance, i can think of no other binocular that has as crisp an image, or as wide a field of view.
if what you are looking at is further than about 75' away it will be clear.
he has a hard time with focus.
i had to return this product as they were not mini auto focus that i needed.
our relative has an old pair of this bushnell 7x35 wide angle perma focus binocular which they use to view wildlife and track sources of wildfire in wyoming mountains.
if you tire easily of adjusting the focus, you won't believe your eyes when you look through these.
my wife's eyesight is not good and is different in each eye, but we can share these binoculars and never have to readjust or focus!
would never buy anything but perma focus again.
the only gripe i have about it is that it there are two things you half to use to adjust the focus, so in other words one could be fuzzy when the other is clear, making the view a little distorted,
it takes just a little bit of adjusting to get it focused but it is fine for me to use whenever i need it.
it's not difficult to focus, and provides clear images.
i don't see quite as well when i leave my eyeglasses on and it does take a little bit more adjusting to get the focus right with eyeglasses, but they are a great pair of binoculars for the price.
pros: small size, great feel and quality, image clarity perfect
this binocular is small pocket size but sturdy with bright clear view, great quality.
they can see very clearly accross the very large river where i live, but they can only focus well for maybe 50 yards after that.
a great product...it is exactly what i was looking for ....to watch my birds and butterflys....with clear viewing and easy adjustments
with the compact zoom binoculars, it is much easier to find a crisp, clear view of visiting birds.
clear, easy focus (take off your glasses).
i have tried several but this was the best because i could focus up close and yet see the fine print on the lables.
good sharp view.
very compact, lightweight, and magnification is clear as can be.
Close Focus, Compact, Strong Construction Best Uses:
Close Focus, Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Cons:
Looks great, feels great, well protected with a pseudo-armor coating but the optic quality is poor, the focusing aspects are poor ...
Cons: Gives me double vision, difficult focus wheel.

Close Focus, Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, versatile Best Uses:
My husband cant get on with them because with the small eyepieces he cant rest them against his brow to steady them - they float- and go out of focus.
Difficult to focus even when brand new.
easy to use and focus.
I like them but would recommend a fixed focus such as 20X50, etc., instead of a zoom set.
Great pair of binoculars, Zoom is smooth throughout and focus remain constant.
They are light, and very clear focus.
They were in focus throughout the zoom, when initially focussed at X30.
Took my binocular at night and focused on poorly lighted objects.
And they seem to get out of focus quite easily whenever I'm just handling them.
I took an Alaska trip and nearly every time I used the binoculars it was necessary to re-focus both lenses.
Did not focus well and needed to be constantly refocused.
-focusing is difficult, and maintaining focus in both sides simultaneously is difficult or impossible (even with the diopter properly adjusted), caused by plently of slack in the focusing mechanism
The only time the view gets distorted is when you try to close focus on subjects less than a few meters away.
