These binoculars were a very pleasant surprise! The image is very sharp all the way across the field of view (even at the edges), and the images are brighter than I would have thought they would be for 8x21 binoculars (and it's corresponding small exit pupil size). The fact that they have porro prisms makes the big difference. from Amazon.com I read the reviews, and the consumer reports for the roof prisms, and because I was buying 2 pair for Chrismas, I got both the porro, and roof prism roamer 8x21.
