This causes some flair in bright situations but it's not that bad. Also there are no objective lens caps, and the case is too big. The 7X magnification may seem low, but I prefer it because there isn't as much shake and bounce from your body movements. 7X is sufficient for nature obversation or sporting events. from Amazon.com I did extensive research before I purchased a Canon 7x42A binocular.
