I was very disapppointed by the poor quality optics of these binoculars. Steiner has a supberb reputation but eidently they are producing a low quality product at this level to get to a low price point. Typically steiner sells at twice this price so the old adage "you get what you pay for" is true in this case. from Amazon.com I spent weeks looking for the best set of binoculars for hunting and work. I have found that some have a better warranty such as Nikon but, I could not pass on the Steiners. I have used Steiners at work for years and they hold up well to abuse and will probably last a life time if handled under normal conditions. from Amazon.com Steiner has been making outstanding optics for years and the 8x30 M/M is another fine example.
